James 1:17 tells us that pure and undefiled religion is to take care of widows and orphans. The implications of this may not just be the literal orphans, those left abandoned by their parents, but those who had mothers who weren’t mothers, fathers who weren’t fathers. Child abuse is more common than you think. Here are some stats from the National Child Abuse Website:
-Almost five children die everyday as a result of child abuse. More than three out of four are under the age of 4.
-It is estimated that between 60-85% of child fatalities due to maltreatment are not recorded as such on death certificates.
-A report of child abuse is made every ten seconds.
-Ninety percent of child sexual abuse victims know the perpetrator in some way; 68% are abused by family members.

baby brianna has made my heart cry , she is with me every day and i have become a child activist because of her , may god have unto them what they have done unto her and as for brianna you are craddled everyday in my heart,
Little sweet girl, I wish that you have found peace and are no longer in pain.
I wish I could have been the father of Brianna, she would have been loved dearly. What hurts me the most is that I have two girls, my oldest (ALLYSON) is 5 and is starting kindergarten tomorrow. My other (LILLY) is 11 months and they are both very close to me. I would like to ask for whoever that reads this post to pray for my oldest as she has been a victim of child abuse. Not as severe as Brianna but she was sexually assaulted and has endured a lot of pain and suffering. She is recovering quickly as she doesent really understand the severity of the assault but in due time she will and I really need to have the strength to explain to her what has happened to her. Thanks.
